K9 Crusaders was founded in 2013 with the goal of helping dogs that were abandoned in pounds and shelters find a loving home.
For those looking to make a difference, this Saturday May 11th K9 Crusaders is being hosted by Justin’s Pet Store on Division Street in Cobourg for a one day event which will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Event coordinator Helen Firing told us what you’ll find there.
As a special incentive, Firing told us the first thirty-five visitors will receive something special for mom.
At the event you’ll also be able to find out more about the fostering process as well as adopting an animal.
Firing told us you’ll also have the chance to visit with a few of their rescues.
They’ll be having a bake sale as well as selling crafts and K9 Crusaders merchandise for both you and your pet. ‘Cats in the dog house’ will also be on hand to do some nail trimming and all proceeds from the day will go towards expenses they’ve incurred from the rescue of several dogs that will soon be looking for their forever homes.
